Jai Gurudev.
Today I completed 49 years of my citizenship on this mother Earth. While my body lived here for 49 years my spirit, my energy has been here forever. Today on this great day that my mother brought me again on this earth so that I can offer my life in the service of the mother Earth and her beautiful creatures I seek your blessings as my Guru. Because it is only through you I realized my eternal, immortal, unbounded potential to do so.
GOD has blessed me with great parents in my Aai and Baba, great partner in Milind, great children in Saneyee, Maithilee and many more all around me and greatest Guru in your being. Since you have blessed me with your love I have never had any doubt that I will end my every moment as a somebody and be born every moment as a nobody. For last 17 years since I am under your guidance I have enjoyed every moment freely, joyfully and in abundance of every kind. And with your guidance I will spend every moment of my this life in sharing my freedom, joy and abundance with everyone around me.
Today I seek your blessings for me and for everyone connected with me that May we be blessed with your wisdom, love, forgiveness and silence. I seek your blessings that may I be an instrument in your hand and may I serve you as you would want me to serve. May I dissolve my “me-ness” and may I merge into you completely. May I be born of you and die in you.
Here is a beautiful poem Rabindranath Tagore wrote which I offer to you as my birthday gift to you –
Purity by Rabindranath Tagore
Life of my life, I shall ever try to keep my body pure,
knowing that thy living touch is upon all my limbs.
I shall ever try to keep all untruths out from my thoughts,
knowing that thou art that truth which has kindled the light of reason in my mind.
I shall ever try to drive all evils away from my heart and keep my love in flower,
knowing that thou hast thy seat in the inmost shrine of my heart.
And it shall be my endeavor to reveal thee in my actions,
knowing it is thy power gives me strength to act.
In gratitude Vishakha
